R.E.M:The Show That Started It All

Legend has it that Joe (Metro’s owner) met a little known band from Athens, GA called R.E.M in early 1982 at a club in New York. When a midwest date on their Summer tour fell through, the tour manager called Joe.
At 5 bucks a head, the show did well. At least well enough to order pizza for the staff at the end of the night.
