On August 27, 1994, we saw a performance from a suburban band that has had a long and loving relationship with Metro - The Smoking Popes. While this sold out show certainly wasn’t the first time this band of brothers took our stage, we did see a first-time appearance that night from another sibling act, Cap’N Jazz. Check out the weird flyer from the show (pictured above). Other bands on the bill that night were fellow Chicagoans, No Empathy and Gauge.
