Philly punk-pop pioneers The Dead Milkmen were no strangers to the Metro stage in the ‘80’s, but their August 28, 1987 gig was a particularly momentous one. Seeing their band name (which began as the fictional subject of a newsletter crafted by vocalist Joe Jack Talcum) hover at the top of the Metro marquee as headliners was a milestone for the eccentric quartet.
