Seizing the charts with their shamelessly decadent glam-pop, Scissor Sisters brought the noise—and the glitter—to the Metro stage on September 15, 2004. Dominating airwaves with their eponymous debut album, the over-the-top quintet cordially doled out fan bait including harpy groove “Laura” and a synth-saturated cover of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.” Performing with technicolor flamboyancy, the hip-shaking, boa-adorned  quintet delved into lofty topics like the skuzzy world of New York counterculture and sexuality with infectious melodies and plenty of glitz.

This was one of the most stressful nights of my life, hands down. Everyone at this show was wasted out of their minds.
