Blink loosened up the crowd for ska-punk band Less Than Jake’s headlining gig at Metro on September 26, 1997, the height of the genre’s popularity. Blending an edgy pop sound with punk-inclined guitars and a daring horn section, Less Than Jake churned out material from their celebrated debut Pezcore and 18-track behemoth Losing Streak. The unapologetic ska-punk pervading from Metro’s walls that night was as unforgettable as it was deafening.
